Tumeric and Lemon Bliss Balls

When I was asked to work with Bioglan on creating recipes with tumeric fot the ‘Eat Your Week Orange’ campaign, this delicious recipe was my first thought. I’ve made similar bliss balls before for friends, using a mixture of natural sweetness and citrus. I find them refreshing and energising. A similar feeling I’ve had from taking the Active Curcumin tablets everyday over the past 10 days. These tablets are available at Bioglan and perfect for those wanting to boost their immune system!


  • 200g oats
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 inch ginger
  • 2 tsp tumeric
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp. desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbsp. agave
  • 3 tbsp. coconut oil

Blend the oats to create a powder. Grate the lemon zest and ginger and stir in. Next juice the lemon and add this in. Meanwhile, melt the coconut oil and agave, in a pan or microwave, then stir this in. Finally add in the chia seeds, tumeric and desiccated coconut (save some to roll in).

Add the mixture into the fridge and let cool for 20-30 minutes. Roll the mixture into balls and dip in coconut. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
